Lombardy Bonnet Knitting Pattern

This knitting pattern will help you make a bonnet just like the pictured one! The pattern comes in sizes from newborn to 5 years. There are: newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-24 months and 2-5 years sizes included. Recommended yarn: any to obtain the gauge. DK for regular look, or thinner yarn on larger needles for daintier look. Gauge: 21 sts in 4 in / 10 cm in stockinette stitch. Your knitting needle size might vary depending on how tight or loose your knitting is. Please be sure to make a gauge swatch to make sure you obtain the gauge. For most, 4mm and 6mm / US6 and US10 needles work the best. You will need: yarn (up to 40g for the smallest sizes, up to 80g for the larger sizes in the main color, small amount of yarn in the contrast color), knitting needles, darning needle to weave in the yarn ends and to sew the back of the bonnet. Crochet hook in the same mm size as the knitting needles to make the ties (if you are making crochet ties). The bonnet is knit flat.
