Fade Away

If dying meant saving the one you love, wouldn't you? My name is Emily Kent, and I don't know much but I know that I would die for him. The dark ones, the ravens, want me. For the first time in my life I am different, something other than ordinary, and it is about to get me killed. When I met him my life was changing, shifting form so fast I didn't know where I was. He kept me sane, helping me to see who, and what, I am. Now he is being ripped away from me and I can't hold on any longer. I struggle, but I can feel myself slipping, my form wavering. Finally, I give in, satisfied enough with the knowledge that he is safe, that I have saved him, to be able to let go.
