Syncopated rhythm

Syncopated rhythm is an artist's book. The turning of the leaves of a book is the rhythm of the book’s sequence. In Western music the time signature, consisting of two digits, denotes the beats to a bar, that is the rhythm of the piece of music. This book has a time signature on the recto of each leaf. The rhythm of the time signatures (and of the turning of the leaves) is interpreted by a leaf bearing a set of (three) digits describing a recognised formation taken from an entirely different context. A small disruption before the rhythm of the time signatures is reasserted.
