The book you are about to enjoy is a reprint collection of maps of the railways and riverways of the USSR. The atlas was originally published in 1943, in the middle of WWII. The maps in the atlas are mostly actual as of year 1941, although some later constructed lines are also shown. The original book was designated as "Dlya Sluzhebnogo Pol'zovaniya," which means "For official use only." The maps show all hub and major non-hub stations, number of tracks, track gauges, lines under construction, and administrative boundaries.
