About Paul Moroney

Paul Moroney is a new writer. His first work is entitled Symphony. This book is a satire written in dramatic form. The drama looks at the political and business circumstances in Ireland in the latter years of the 1990s into the so called tiger years. It finishes in the period after the 2008 bank guarantee. The book centres around a number of characters in a fictitious business the Irish Bank and Bar. This business sells money and drink, advice and entertainment. It is run by a group who feel that they can use the cheap supply of money brought about by Irelands entry into the Euro to improve life as they see it for everyone in their town. The only condition is that they enrich themselves in the process in any way they see fit and any improvement will be as an offshoot to their wealth accumulation. Of course this was bound to fail and the cost of their crookedness was eventually placed on the Irish taxpayer.
