Alana is a terrible witch. Unable to cast spells without causing some sort of catastrophe, she is the disgrace of her wicked aunt; the Grand Witch of Kenwell. It is for this reason, and a few others, that Alana has always hated her life. She longs simply to find her long-lost parents and escape her cruel Aunt forever. One night during a very important party, Alana causes a terrible accident and finds something she's waited for years to see—her chance to escape. After leaving her home for the very first time she learns that she’s not the only one who’s suffered at the hands of Grand Witch Druilda. Upon striking a deal with an odd young man equipped with fantastical inventions and a very shaggy dog, Alana runs off in search of a family. Along the way, they'll discover an ancient wand of untold power, wicked foes, and perhaps the cure to a curse that may hold secrets these friends could never begin to imagine.
