About Abena Dakwa

Anonye Press is proud to introduce Abena Dakwa. Abena was born and raised in Southern California. She discovered her love for the written word at the tender age of twelve. She composed a collection of poems well before she turned twenty-one. As a teen she found that there was no better way to express her emotions then to apply pen to paper and let the words flow. Writing has helped her develop both emotionally and mentally. Abena encourages everyone to write because she believes that it is the best and most affordable form of therapy that anyone can participate in. Abena has also written a screenplay and a childrens’ book and has several works in progress. She loves pasta, ice cream, the ocean and traveling. She is currently completing her MBA in Management and Strategy. Anonye Press is excited to have released Abena’s first poetry chap book, The Poems of Life.
