Achiro's Kamunye Conversations

Achiro's Kamunye Conversations is about taxi rides and the events are from the point of view of one particular passenger who in most cases is yours truly. For me every single trip in a kamunye is a story to tell. For some reason, it is like I get into a kamunye with a new batch of actors each time. No script and no rehearsal, always action! Kamunye is what we call passenger service vans in Uganda- our local taxi vans. Each story depending on one’s point of view may be funny or upsetting. With every story, I add a twist of humour to lighten even the dampest ride. A couple of stories in this series are experiences that have happened to other passengers I have traveled with or told to me by a pal or two. All the stories at the end of the day are true stories. Who knows, just after you read one, you just might experience it.
