Between April 1994 and August 1996, the British music scene turned itself inside out. 'Straight Outta Cullompton' is the story of a young man living through it far away from the cynicism of London, falling in love with a new record every week whilst plotting his own journey to Top of The Pops. It was a time where the right thing wasn't always an option, so 'nearly right' had to do. It mixes the author's own recollections with new interviews from some of the bands that he shamelessly copied during the time - These Animal Men, S*M*A*S*H, Gene and [email protected]
