“This book, by yours truly, contains three short stories as well as four poems. Each was written from scratch, flowing directly from my mind and into the text—hence the title of this anthology. I had aspired to be a writer since the first time I was able to sit down and write freely in middle school, having received positive, encouraging comments from my teachers that sparked my interest.
“My hope is to one day publish an entire novel with dozens of chapters and hundreds of pages, but about what, I could never yet know. For the time being, I aim to entrance and captivate every reader that flips through this book with unique pieces of work that I put a lot of thought and editing into. Below are some short descriptions of the longer works in this book. Enjoy!”:
Skin and Bones
Losing a family member is not easy. Claire deals with the loss of her aunt whilst being unable to shake the memory of her tragic death. These feelings are etched into Claire’s skin and bones and haunt her sickly body.
Hope in The End
Evan Anderson is a 17-year-old boy that has survived through a zombie apocalypse since he was four years old. Tension grows between both him and his best friend, Jamy “JJ” Miller, but Evan can’t seem to figure out why.
