General Chemistry I is designed for the first term of General Chemistry (for most engineering majors) taught at Oregon Institute of Technology, but should be suitable for the first term of college-level chemistry at most quarter-system institutions. The concepts of unit conversions, atomic structure, chemical formulas and reactions, stoichiometry, solution calculations, gas laws, and thermochemistry are explored.
