The Hansen Family 1850-2006

B&W version - Hans Michael Hansen brought his family to America in 1887 looking for a better life. They had no way of knowing what sadness was in store for them. Tragedy came as both parents died within five years of their arrival in the new land. However, the family persevered, and after the sorrowful times did come good times. Their family has multiplied and prospered in the new world. Their descendants’ lives surely exceed the dreams of the young couple who came to the wild west of America in 1887 with everything they owned in three pieces of luggage. This is Hans and Ane’s story, and that of their children, in particular that of their eldest son James. This book is in black and white, an economy version, with photos, newspaper articles, memorabilia saved by James Hansen, an update on the descendents of Hans and Ane's five children and Hans's son by his second marriage, with photos from Denmark where the Hansens lived.
