This is a very interesting re-examination of the British campaign in Norway. The writer is a retired British three star general. I lost faith in this writers neutrality and intellectual honesty immediately after I read the paragraphs quoted above. Straightaway I recollected famous historian Edward Gibbons comment that you could more wisdom in coach drivers of England rather than at Cambridge or Oxford universities- since this book was a Cambridge history ! Lo and behold on page viii Churchills apologist, our so called illustrious author has the audacity to quote the principal architect of British failure
