Mystic Treatises

St Isaac the Syrian, or of Nineveh, is almost unique in being venerated as a saint, and spiritual authority by both the Oriental and Eastern Orthodox communions, even though he was a member of the Church of the East, and therefore formally considered heterodox. The great value of his spiritual writings have spoken for themselves and he remains a great favourite among the modern spiritual fathers of both Orthodox communities. This volume contains a collection of his spiritual writings translated into English by A.J. Wensinck.
