I, me, myself

I, me, myself is a work of fiction, written in first person narrative. It is worded in colloquial English and is a light-hearted humorous account of the life and travails of an Indian woman named Malini Jagatbhai Patel. Malini is a vibrant Indian, Gujarati girl, born and brought up in Ahmedabad. The book journeys her life as she grows from a beloved daughter to an independent woman, wife and daughter-in-law. It accounts the various typically Indian moments of an Indian woman’s life. It could be any Indian girl. The narrative shifts back and forth, creating an interesting flow to the whole story. From her experiences changing jobs, to her parents, to her stay in the Western world, right to her getting married. The ebb and tide of the plot grips the reader very tightly. Also the use of a completely refreshing colloquial language adds spice to the story. The key highlights of the book are her thoughts and observations on the little details of life, the unspoken words of the women of India.
