The Mantua General Becomes The Lt. Gen'l Grant
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Three dimensional printing (3-D printing) has opened up a whole new world for
Civil War era model railroaders. No longer must they be satisfied with improving
old Mantua and Bachmann 4-4-0’s in order to pull their trains. Gerry Dykstra, John Ott and Alan Mueller have collaborated to produce or identify everything necessary for the average modeler to turn the HO Scale Mantua General 4-4-0 into a very good representation of the U.S.M.R.R. locomotive Lt. Gen’l Grant. Although not an exact replica of the Grant (which had 66" drivers versus the 60" Mantua drivers), the finished model presents a very good representation of the Grant and has an appearance heretofore not obtainable for the majority of modelers. This book takes you through the conversion step by step. This book is arranged so that the modeler can begin working on the Mantua parts of the locomotive while waiting for the Shapeways parts to arrive
