A Century of Postal Covers

Over 120 stamped and postmarked covers, dating back to 1862, are illustrated in full colour. Accompanying them are the stories of the senders and recipients and photographs of them at work and play in China at the time of the Boxer Rising, and in India and other parts of the British Empire. Included are descriptions of the stamps used, some interesting first day covers, and some rare military postmarks are reproduced.
