Chatroom to Bedroom: Rochester, New York is where Wall Street meets Victoria’s Secret. Two weeks prior to the unfathomable tragedy of 9/11, a group of M.B.A. students embark on a two year journey to Rochester, New York, all in the hopes of pursuing an education that will lead them straight to the boardroom with a six-figure plus bonus salary. Women represent a fraction of the student body and quickly learn that for all the progress of the past fifty years, some things never change: sex and money drive the human ego to achieve the impossible, all obstacles be damned. Rebecca, the central character of the book, arrives in Rochester with big dreams, big hopes and a big heart. With little understanding of the real opportunity cost of her desired success she begins to shed her kind skin and, as her focus on the prize compounds, men begin to look like nothing more than tradable commodities.
