A collection of thirty actual family legends from many different individuals alongside the correct version of the ancestor and the events around the legend. Included in the book are key elements any family member should examine about a family legend to know if it is truth or myth. Examples include interviewing various family members, allowing each to give their version of a family legend, writing their recollections down so you can compare what is possible vs. what is a little too bizarre. Also researching online databases or writing to the county public libraries for newspaper articles of the period when the event took place.
