The Life and Teachings of Jesus is a compilation of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Although it includes chapter and verse numbers, it is intended to be read as a story, from beginning to end. The story of Jesus and how he would have us live our lives. It is a companion book to Abundant Life. In that book I explain how I think the emphasis of Christianity has been misplaced since shortly after Jesus was killed. The emphasis in Mark, Matthew, and Luke is not on a son of God who came to die for our sins, but on a man who found a way to live wholly within the will of God, spreading healing to others, and urging them to repent and live godly lives. The book of John was written much later than the other gospels, and it's emphasis is different. I have woven it in with the narrative of the other three gospels. I have edited out some material and have used some different translations to try to return to the original intent of Jesus' ministry.
