The Peacock Family: From Taunton to Tasmania traces the history of George Stromborn Peacock's family from before their emigration in 1834 to Van Diemens Land (lutruwita/Tasmania). It links the family back to its roots in Taunton, Somerset, England and also identifies the familial connections to Thomas Love Peacock, the satirical novelist and poet. Each branch of the family, including those descended from both Peacock and Innes lines, is explored from their arrival in Van Diemens Land through the generations to the mid 1900s (or more recently, where possible).
