The Other Side of the Fence

The leaves rustled and the cold breeze blew across the neighborhood one early December. The clouds covered the bright California sunshine this day, while the traffic was minimal in the street mainly because of the cold. Timmy was walking down the street when he heard dogs barking on the other side of the fence. He was sure these were the same dogs that had been barking the day before. Sure enough as he approached the fence, the dogs became more aggressive in their barks. Just like previous encounters, Timmy decided to take a peek through the key-sized hole in one of the wooden fences.
