Whitewashed

Sixteen-year-old Darcy Calloway wakes to foreign surroundings, scared and confused. Scientists disguised as doctors are questioning her about her last year, but fear has shut down her memory. To her horror, she has no recollection of the previous year, only that she was kidnapped and is being forced to stay in this hospital-like setting. But in this lab, is she a hostage or a patient? She is without her family, and it soon becomes clear that, as long as she remains in this lab, her memory will not return. Who are these ‘doctors’ whom she knows have taken her? In a battle of survival, her only allies are a boy too damaged by his past to confront the despair of his own situation, and her doctor’s eighteen-year-old stepson Travis.
