Helen's parents were Charlotte (Campbell) and Howard A. Smith both of Newark, New Jersey. Howard A. Smith was a well known bike builder in Newark. Charlotte parents were Charlotte (Eagles) and David Campbell. David Campbell was a very successful businessman in New Jersey during the period of 1840 to 1891.
