Metamorphosis began after no other means combated the torment Anashta Celovich harbored inside during her childhood due to her father’s wrath.
The abuse she suffered spun her into a state of depression, where she spent most of her time after school in her room wallowing in her writing.
This book has been labeled dark, but moments of humor shine through. During her adult years, she cycled through abusive boyfriends and husbands, and even spent a month in a battered women’s shelter.
The award-winning poet and mother still copes with life’s curve-balls through her poetry, and occasionally finds other things to inspire her work, as well.
