Sunrise

The Metropolis may be humankind’s final outpost upon a planet that no longer enjoys the sun’s caress. Fields lie barren, and the sky boils with a turbid murk of pollution and oppressive dread; skeletal towers pierce the gloom, casting a smothering penumbra in whose folds the underclasses struggle for survival and their abominable pleasures. A man with no remembrance of his life, bereft of humanity, kills without mercy for his survival and a desperate quest for resolution. His struggle this evening will irrevocably transform the sullen landscape of his life, and possibly the human race.
