The Key to Kingsnorth Place

Thirteen year old Carrie has always been able to gaze dimly into the past but when she moves into Kingsnorth Place, a former mental hospital now converted into flats, she finds that she can physically travel back to the 1930’s when Kingsnorth Hospital was still open. Once there she meets heavily pregnant and apparently sane Emma Bishop who Carrie discovers is in danger of remaining in hospital against her will for the rest of her life. What can Carrie do to help Emma? In fact should she help at all? Carrie’s life is turned upside down as she begins to find answers to these questions.
