A Collection of Short Stories written by serving prisoner Andy Thackwray, winner of the 2007 Arthur Koestler Outstanding Award for Fiction.
A note from the author:
The Fruits From An Innocent Mind were written between the months of October 2006 and December 2007 after more than five years of incarceration for a crime I did not commit - a time when my appeal against wrongful conviction was finally drawing towards its conclusion. Writing them kept me sane during this difficult period of my life. Giving me hope and purpose, they yielded visions of better times to come.
"Andy Thackwray is simply the most accomplished and exciting writer of fiction in prison today."
Tim Robertson, Chief Executive, the Koestler Trust for the Arts Inside.
"An outstanding wordsmith with a vivid imagination and razor sharp wit, he never fails to deliver."
Inside Time; the National Newspaper for Prisoners.
