[the book of tells]

Largely influenced by and composed during a time of infidelities, [the book of tells] is a different kind of identity search. The three-character book serves as a confessional for the lies, resentment, and attachments that occur when the body medically and sexually betrays an individual. The image
sets of the story borrow heavily from the human body – from the emergence of illness to a single romantic encounter that spans more than a dozen poems -- then to the symptoms, treatments, and side effects of both experiences. With a strong attention to sequencing, wordplay, sound, and natural imagery, [the book of tells] is a collection that communicates within itself to reflect the
cyclic operation of the speaker’s mind, memory, and disease.
