Memoirs of a Courageous Hungarian Woman

ByAnna G. VárosyKati Városy Burke

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Anna's Story is a riveting account of her life in Hungary during World Wars One and Two, the imprisonment of her husband, Paul, the ensuing Communist years, and the inevitable uprising against the brutal regime. Interwoven throughout is a love story of Anna and Paul. Their faith in God gave them the strength to overcome adversities on their often tumultuous journey. The reader will be amazed to find out how the pregnant Anna had to provide for her toddlers while Paul was held prisoner in Russia for two years! After a joyous reunion, Paul got his old job back as an attorney at a bank. Unfortunately, it didn't take long before he was ousted from his position, and then, also dismissed from a factory job. The reason: his refusal to join the Communist Party! Anna, Paul and family had no option but to flee after the thwarted Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Their quest: to find a new life of freedom and peace.
