Tukisigiaruti Qanujisaqtulirinirmut: Life Science Handbook for Nunavut Educators
ByNeil ChristopherAndrea Canady
(KIVALLIQ, KITIKMEOT and BAFFIN DIALECT) Tukisigiaruti Qaujisaqtulirinirmut is a resource for students and teachers in Nunavut who want to improve their understanding of life science concepts and contribute to the development of life science terminology in the Inuit language.
Over 250 essential life science terms are explained simply but accurately. Each term is accompanied by suggested Inuktitut translations from three communities. Readers will also find space under each term to add in their own preferred translations.
The contributors to this book hope that teachers and students will use it in the classroom to help with planning lessons, studying, and conversations about science in Inuktitut.
