When American born Millicent Browne inherits a fusty old bookshop in 1970's Manchester, her world changes. With her invention of 'The Brolly Park café' she indulges her passion for people and pastry! Umbrellas are the inspiration for this story about Milly's café and some of the characters who stop by. Some are there simply for food and drink, whilst others find more than a place to park their umbrellas. Milly enjoys bringing people together, but will she herself find love in rainy Lancashire?
