The author, a former NYC police officer, designed the GRANDPA HENRY series around a "wise elder" character who helps children feel good about themselves. GRANDPA HENRY & THE DAY THE BABIES WERE BORN tells the story of the twins' birth in a delightful, rhyming bedtime story. In it, the sage grandfather pledges to "humbly give Your wisdom to questions everyday", promises to show the babies "LOVE and PEACE and JOY" and vows to "teach them not to fear", admirable goals in any day and age. The book has been read to over 2000 Florida schoolchildren since its creation in 1998. A curriculum guide and hard cover version will be available shortly.
