The Library's mission is to promote study and research in early English women's writing, in order to achieve this goal the library is open for members of the public to use, free of charge.
The Library holds early editions of works from the period; many of the books in the collection are rare and in some cases even unique. Some of the library's rarest works are available in full-text via the Novels-On-Line project.
