Man has always pondered the great questions of life, arriving at various conclusions and interim resolutions, all the time waiting for history to unfold even as he participates in it. This history has a beginning, logically, and also an end. This panoramic view casts the events in an apocalyptic prism that differs from religion to another. Ben is a journalist. He is preparing to go on an investigative assignment when his editor interrupts to assign him to go and investigate cases of cannibalism. He leaves to tackle it. Unknown to him he is a subject of a Biblical prophecy and is about to change roles dramatically: two intelligence agencies have worked together to design a program that will make him a writer. At the same time Martha, a nun, is also send to the same local area that Ben is going. They travel on the same bus as strangers but by the time they alight love has lit up between them. Will Ben find Martha again? Will she denounce her celibacy vows to pursue a stranger whom she has only just met? Meanwhile terrorist hit the city with a bomb, sparking panic, grief and outrage. Time and events race. Priorities are rearranged after apocalyptic schemes and the man and woman quest for one another at the same time as anguished humanity grope for answers to ancient questions.
