The Mood of the Tales are Gloomy

A short, concise, and fun description of the basics of English grammar (primarily for native speakers) with one topic per page and periodic quizzes. Beginning with the idea of grammar and how people started thinking about it, it examines the parts of the sentence (subject, direct object, complement, etc.) before moving into parts of speech (nouns, verbs, etc.). Other sections deal with clause structures, negation, and the various types of questions. And, of course, who/whom is dealt with in a complete, yet gentle, way. This book is specifically designed to be easy to understand without being "dumbed down."
