Juneteenth
International Art Exhibition 2023
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Known as “Juneteenth,” June 19 marks the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved African Americans and has become an annual celebration of freedom, justice, and African American culture. In honor of Juneteenth, we have brought together 19 talented artists from around the world to showcase their unique perspectives on freedom, justice, liberation, and the enduring impact of slavery’s legacy. Though slavery officially ended over 150 years ago, the journey towards equality continues today.
These artists draw inspiration from historic milestones like the Civil Rights Movement as well as pressing modern issues like mass incarceration and police brutality. Their diverse mediums, from painting and sculpture to video and performance art, provide fresh insight into the past, present, and future. At times joyous, at times painful, their works speak truth to power and envision a more just world.
