Growing up in a broken, sexually corrupted home was not easy on Davina. She learned from a young age that drugs, sex and alcohol was the only way to have fun and she hoped when she got older to experiment with them, she would find peace and a means to escape the chaos in her home. Eventually Davina’s parents made one terrible mistake during one of their marital arguments. They hit her and once they started, they couldn’t seem to stop themselves. Thanks to a caring intervention of their neighbor, Davina was rescued and shortly after, Social Services removed her from the home. Davina’s parents finally decided to stop fighting, get sober and clean their lives up so they could claim their only daughter and hopefully, start over fresh. During her time away from her parents, Davina was placed in foster care. It didn’t go well, but thankfully she met one person who made life more tolerable and enjoyable. Ruby Vega. Ruby was similar to Davina and didn’t have the best relationship with her parents either. Ruby and Davina bonded over their childhood trauma and quickly became best friends. As much as Davina enjoyed Ruby’s company and Ruby enjoys Davina’s, they tended to feel intimidated by the other girl. They were both beautiful, smart, deviants of society and poplar social icons at Ocram, but for different reasons. Instead of letting their insecurities get between them, they utilized those feelings and formed a friendly rivalry. Davina always had Ruby when everything felt apart and was strongly influenced by her bad girl behavior. By the time Davina’s parents were able to retrieve Davina from the foster care system, she had completely changed her demeanor, thanks to Ruby. The timid little girl who avoids conflict and did her best to stay quiet was gone. Davina was not afraid of her parents, she did respect them and she loved conflict. She was good at starting it and making it escalate. Her loud, unruly attitude was painfully defying and made her parents uneasy, confused and insecure in their parenting. Davina didn’t care. She was older now and had gained a powerful ally who understood her pain. She didn’t need them or their love anymore… or did she?
