Naked Souls

Life and death in tent-city America. began this project as a random sampling of graphic art done in my usual desultory manner, mainly over the last couple of years or so, but as I put images together I always found myself returning to a consistent theme - the true face of American capitalism gone to hell. Skid row is now America’s default solution to low incomes, mental illness and unwanted children. My graphic response to anything is the only one that may be reasonably expected from a provincial boy who raised himself on Rembrandt, Goya, MAD magazine and R. Crumb.
