Ashley has been a frequent visitor to Rubizhne, having family there. The College where he has spent many enjoyable hours encouraging students with English is now totally destroyed, as are many homes, businesses and other facilities. Ukrainians are a lovely race of people with a very distinct culture, they are welcoming, generous and resourceful. They do not deserve the pain they are suffering. Love and respect for them inspired publication of this book.
