The privilege in Prayer given to every believer to approach the
Throne of Grace is one that is not fully understood and hence
underutilized. Every person familiar with Christians especially
those who are young in faith has observed that most of them
know little about the consequences and effectiveness of prayer
and are ill-equipped with adequate words to express them.
The writer’s research is excellent and pulls together so much
that we all need to understand the depth, power, and enigmatic
nature of the force behind prayer.
The book introduces us to the concept of prayer, its
intricacies, its effectiveness, and the mystery of prayer.
The influence of prayer, in personal spiritual development
and in giving tone to the character and success to the efforts of
the church, is fully acknowledged in this book. Prayer is
considered effective when it is offered, and it attracts its expected
answers even though some are time bound. The manifestation
of Christians expectations is related to the level of success in
the place of prayer. This kind of prayer must proceed from the
depth of your heart and must be furnished with scriptures.
“And this is the confidence that we have before Him, if we
ask anything according to His will, He hears. And if we know
that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already
possess what we have asked of Him ( 1 John 5:14-15)
Indeed, without prayer, Christianity would die as surely
and as speedily as the panting animal in a marathon. There is
also no situation that can ever defy prayer which is a positive
view, that with this means of grace, used in its fullest power, a
mental and moral renovation would take place through all the
earth’s inhabitants that would cause man to fulfil purpose.
