This book entitled Numerical Methods with Applications: Customized for University of South Carolina (USC) is written primarily for engineering undergraduates at USC. Within its customized framework, the textbook offers a holistic and unique treatise to numerical methods. This book is a product of ten years of work on educational projects funded primarily by the National Science Foundation. Features of the complete contents available include the following. 1) Examples of real-life applications are given from seven different engineering majors. 2) Each chapter is followed by multiple-choice questions. 3) Supplemental material such as primers on differential and integral calculus, matrix algebra, and ODEs are available on the web. 4) The book has a dedicated open courseware website with YouTube lectures, extra examples, PowerPoint presentations, worksheets in MATLAB, MATHEMATICA, Maple and MathCAD, anecdotes, and blog postings.
