Never a Heap of Earth

This fictional novel, is based on a family who lived in the village of Harvel in North Kent, and is centred around the matriach, Mary Day. Uneducated, blunt, with a slightly sarcastic sense of humour; no teeth! with looks that are anything but attractive; determination that is firm and unyielding, there will be times you will dislike her! But there will also be times when you will laugh at her – and with her. By the time you come to the end of this book, although you will never love Mary Day, you will admire her – and be proud of her.
