Crib Notes is the personal narrative of Jonathan Evan Taylor, a man who was aware that he was not who he should be from the day he was born. His baby blanket was blue; it should have been pink. Not only that, but everything that gave him comfort as a child was taken away—his diapers, his baby bottle, and his crib. From the time he was a toddler, Jonathan studied girls; not as potential mates, but as someone he wished to become. Desperate to hang on to his youth, Jonathan created an image in his mind of the baby girl he knew he was.
