The Digital Imagery as an Instructional Mode for Student Achievement (DIIMSA) Extreme Vocabulary strategy is a checking for understanding strategy that is designed for the “Digital Generation.” The intent of using this strategy is to allow learners to show from their context of understanding, what they truly know about key concepts, vocabulary and associated content, while making it engaging to boost long-term understanding. DIIMSA “Extreme Vocabulary” provides learners with opportunities to show from their perspective what they truly know about vocabulary and associated content.
