Sarah Gindel and Barry Hazard: Nature vs. Nurture
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
I construct very small pictures and environments with found objects, doll house furniture, paint, fabric, and thread. I am heavily influenced by my job as a Mammography Technologist. My current work is a fusion between my profession as a Mammographer and my fascination with miniatures. I handle and position thousands of breasts each year. I use the female breast in my artwork, with all of its symbolism and nurturing abundance.
– Sarah Gindel
I make sculpted landscape paintings that project out from the wall, like open dioramas. The subjects are derived from landscape archetypes of beauty, such as mountains, forests, deserts, sunsets, rivers and bodies of water. I recognize the common and collective love for these subjects, as spaces for reflecting, contemplation, and surrendering to something larger and more timeless us.
