The theme at the heart of this book by young writers at Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, is: “Own Your Story.” If you own your story, you take control of it. You get to decide what will happen in the next chapter and in the chapter after that. You get to choose what direction your story will go and who will be the main characters helping to move it forward. You can pull bad characters out. You can put better characters in. You can learn from the pain and trauma of the past as you start preparing for a better, happier, and wiser ending in the future.
