Treasures from the Gulf is a monumental 72 square foot 3-panel mosaic installation in the Sarofim Pavilion's pediatric surgical waiting area at Houston's Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center. This joyous, colorful and playful tribute to the bountiful undersea life found in the nearby Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary was installed in 2021, and will bring delight and distraction to families there for generations to come.
In this book, you'll find a bounty of photos and information about this magnificent work of art. You'll learn about how the mural was designed and created, and you'll meet and explore the incredible real-life community of creatures that it portrays. There's even a Seek and Find game where you can put your knowledge to work!
