I am a retired schoolteacher who grew up in West Point, Georgia. It’s a small town. It is so small, there were just over 50 graduates in my senior class! I married during college, had one son, and finished my education degree when he was twelve. He now has a boat repair business which is awesome because he keeps my boat in good shape! I have a lovely daughter-in-law, five grandchildren and lots of greats who are all healthy and beautiful. I taught elementary school for twenty-five years and loved it. Most of my career was in Kindergarten but, I also taught first, second, and third grades. I have been a widow since 2003 and I live on a lake in Alabama now with my Yorkshire Terrier, Beau. I enjoy family, friends, gardening, crocheting, boating, writing and painting and I like to think I am open to new adventures. No, Beau! is my first children’s book and it has been so fun to do! I am sure it won’t be my last!
