Dongbeihua’ (东北话) is the common Chinese term for the StandardChinese dialect of North-East China. It earned some fame within Mainland China due to its strong presence in national TV shows and sketches over the last twenty years. The North-Eastern dialect is distinguished from Standard Chinesemainly in terms of different words and expressions, many of which have been influenced by the Altaic language of the Manchu and by the Chinese dialect spoken by settlers from Shandong province.
